We have been going to this little gem for 15 years. We love the menu, the service, the setting and the ambiance. It does not get much better than sitting one veranda of a plantation house, sipping on a drink and looking out over lighted garden. Because we love this place, we chose it for our dinner on our 50th anniversary. They did not disappoint. They went out of there way to make it a very special evening. A special shoutout to Jeff the GM, Brendan the Bar Mgr. and Sam, our darling little server. Mahalo! Even though they made it a special evening, the food and service was the same as we always received: outstanding! You are making a mistake if you don't try Plantation Gardens!

We stopped by for sunset dinner on a Monday evening, and was able to walk-in (no reservations). We were seated in the back patio space facing the beautiful garden with koi fish ponds and string lights - nice romantic setting for date night or special occasion. I loved my coconut curry stew, which had the right amount of heat, not too heavy on the coconut flavor, and the seafood was all perfectly cooked. While it was pricey, the portion was generous. My husband enjoyed his beef pot roast, served over mashed potatoes, which he paired with a li hing margarita. Our stomachs were pretty full from dinner, but we really wanted to try the desserts - dessert goes in a separate stomach, am I right? ;) The Baked Hawaiian (similar to baked Alaska) with macadamia nut toffee bark and the lilikoi (passionfruit) cheesecake with torched marshmallow were both excellent and insta-worthy. Service was attentive and professional. Overall, a memorable and delicious dinner in Koloa.

This place was beautiful. The walk to the restaurant is a path full of beautiful, fragrant tropical flowers. Huge koi fish greet you as you enter the garden. We ate on the spacious outdoor porch to enjoy the sea breezes, flowers and ponds. We had to try fish opting for the special monchong and a quinoa crusted mahi mahi. Both meals were exceptional. Fish was fresh, flaky, flavorful. The portions were perfect. Service was attentive and customer-focused, even allowing a substitute of garlic mashed potatoes in place of creamed quinoa (not my sub as I like to experience the meal as the chef intended -- makes me try things I normally wouldn't). Excellent date night!

Delightful restaurant in the Plantation hotel/condominium. You can enter from the hotel parking area or from the side of the street closer to the ocean. Make sure to have a reservation as this place is fully booked on the patio on any given night. The food is very very good and the service is top notch. We came here after a strenuous hike and fully indulged in all the things our hearts desired. They had a great rose that went well with the meal. From start to finish it was an enjoyable experience. I loved the decor and the fresh breeze that constantly blows throughout the restaurant. It is clean and hip with something for everyone. Price is a little expensive but you will have amazing service and even better food on your plate. Just thinking about this place makes me smile.

Our destination wedding at Plantation Gardens was the BEST night of my life!!!! We got married at Plantation Gardens on 5/31/19, and the ceremony and reception went so smoothly. After deciding on a destination in wedding in Kauai, we did extensive research (both online and in person when visiting the island) to pick the perfect venue. I kept reading glowing 5-out-of-5 star reviews about Plantation Gardens and Amy Evans, and I can now attest to this top notch experience they provide!!! We planned with Amy for over a year, and she was incredibly accommodating, professional, and a joy to work with from beginning to end. Even with the incredible planning and attention to detail, wedding day can be hectic for the bride and groom with all the photos, mingling, dancing, ect, but Amy ensured my husband and I were well taken care of!!! Amy had delicious cucumber mojitos delivered to us in between group photos, ensured we had ample time to eat our amazing dinner, and during the evening she checked in with us to make sure we had everything we could need. We chose the restaurant buyout option (we had 65 people attending our wedding) so we had the whole restaurant reserved for our party! The grounds were beautifully manicured, the ambiance and everything just felt so right!! One of our guests said "First wedding, EVER, where every morsel of food and cocktails were INCREDIBLE!". It's good to hear that our guests had the same experience that my husband and I did!!!! When I look back on our wedding day, I'm filled with gratitude and joy. Thank you Amy and Plantation Gardens for making our wedding an experience of a lifetime!

I came here on a Tuesday night with a group of 9. This place looks amazing. The service was quite exceptional and I felt I was doing fine dining! Here's what I ordered: CRUSTED ONO FISH - $31 Smoked quinoa crust, creamed quinoa, asparagus, tomato chili oil. I was very happy with my dish! I'm not a fan of quinoa and I don't usually order fish, but I'm glad I ordered this one! The creamed quinoa reminded me of risotto where it's creamy and soft, and full of flavor it's it's right on top of a layer of tomato chili oil. It wasn't spivey but it had that super subtle spice flavor. The quinoa crust made me feel less guilty about my dish and the crispy texture was subtle. The fish itself was rich and fresh in taste. On top of the fish were some yummy thinly sliced asparagus. Everything came together wonderfully and I finished it all! LILIKOI CHEESECAKE - $8 I really enjoyed this dessert. This creamy cheesecake had a subtle flavor of lilikoi, which is passion fruit. The crust is quite thin with a bit of flambé on top! Yum! MACADAMIA CREME BRÛLÉE - $8 This was a huge serving that was creamy, topped with macadamia nuts, but bot flambé enough. It tasted like sweet pudding--which isn't bad if you weren't expecting creme brûlée. I had friends who ordered the SEAFOOD LAU LAU and was extremely disappointed with it. They told me it tasted like someone just pan fried it without any sort of flavor or marination. One of them complained and not only was it comped, they received a complimentary dessert. Wow that's impressive service! Very good on them! I'm are his place is lovely during the day. It has large open windows with an amazing garden. I hope to one day visit again for brunch.

Dinner for the pre-birthday boy was at Plantation Gardens & it was 1 of the most fab meals we had on the island. Started out with the lavender pina colada ( amazing! ) and the sweet plum margarita ( delish ) Shared the sweet potato rolls which were delivered hot out of the oven with salted butter Watermelon and goat cheese salad as incredibly delish with so many flavor layers going on - could have had 2 more of these The Mr absolutely raved over the vegan spring rolls with tofu, carrots, asparagus & a variety of herbs & a delightful peanut sauce Entrees for us both were the quinoa crusted tofu with creamy quinoa and asparagus.....it was nutty, creamy, cheesy and so, so yummy Shared the lilikoi cheesecake for dessert & it was the perfect ending to a perfect meal.....out on the veranda, overlooking their expansive orchid gardens. What a birthday treat!!
